Guidelines
The following Publisher Blogging and Social Media Guidelines (”Blogging Guidelines”), are expressly incorporated into our Publisher Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) by reference, and are a binding legal agreement between Feed Flare Media (”Company”) and you (”Publisher” or “You”). As part of keeping Your account remaining in good standing with Feed Flare Media’s network (the “Platform”), Publisher represents and warrants that it will comply with these Blogging Guidelines for all Ads that Publisher runs via the Platform.
1. Publisher shall post Ads on Publisher’s blog and/or via social media platforms such as MySpace and Facebook only with the prior written approval of Company and in strict compliance with the terms and conditions of the applicable blog and/or social media platform.
2. Publisher shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations and guides, including but not limited to Section 5 of the FTC Act when promoting the offers of Company’s Advertisers via Publisher’s blog and/or via a social media platform. Publisher shall pay particular attention to FTC Guides pertaining to blogging, word of mouth marketing and social media as they may be updated from time to time.
3. Publisher shall disclose any material relationships, policies and business practices so as to ensure that readers of Publisher’s blog may reasonably distinguish content from advertising on Publisher’s blog. For example, if Publisher does sponsored or paid blog posts, such posts must be clearly marked as such.
4. If Publisher uses testimonials on the Platform, Publisher must follow the FTC Guide concerning use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising. Without limiting the foregoing, all Ads presenting endorsements by what are represented to be “actual consumers” should utilize actual consumers, or clearly and conspicuously disclose that the persons in such Ads are not actual consumers of the advertised product. Publisher bears all responsibility to verify that endorsements are made by actual consumers, and must provide substantiation upon request by Company.
5. Publisher shall not place false, deceptive, or misrepresentative links on Publisher’s blog. For example, Publisher may not represent that a link will take a consumer to a news article, if such link actually takes the consumer to a registration page or an advertisement for a product or service.
6. Publisher shall respect intellectual property rights when posting to Publisher’s blog, including but not limited to citing sources where appropriate.
7. Publishers shall not place affiliate links/tracking code, nor promote Web sites that contain affiliate links/tracking code, in or on third-party: forums, message boards, blog comment areas, classified advertisement services (such as CraigsList.org), etc., unless i) Publisher obtains written permission from the third-party to do so, and ii) only in accordance with the Traffic Instructions for that Campaign as defined in the Terms and Conditions.
8. Publisher’s blog shall not contain either Prohibited Content or Offensive Content as defined in the Terms and Conditions.
9. Publisher’s blog shall include a valid email address.
10. Unless otherwise directed by Company in writing, Publisher, or any of Your authorized Sub-Publisher(s) shall not use Company or its represented advertisers names (including any abbreviation thereof) or any trademark trade name, service mark, logo or other Company identifying information on their blog.
11. Publisher shall not modify the Ad in any way without the prior written consent of Company.
12. Upon request from Company, Publisher shall immediately remove any Ad, or that pertain to a particular Campaign.
Failure to comply by the above guidelines may result in withholding of Bounty and/or revocation of Publisher’s ability to use the Feed Flare Media Platform.
